Blog candy of a different kind!!!

Okay, so I'm in BIG trouble!!! I'm obsessed with beads right now!!!

Let me tell you a story... I was at Hobby Lobby on Monday to get some more jewelry supplies, before I knew it my basket was starting to get really heavy!!! It's like the packages just jumped in themselves! I can't explain it!!! I finally had to tell myself to "walk away", so being the strong will powered person I am ;), I walked away from the bead aisle. But, do you know where I ended up? Yep, that's right the paper crafts aisle!!! Ahhhhh, like I said I'm in BIG TROUBLE!!! Now there's two places I HAVE to check out when I got to Hobby Lobby!!!

Okay, so since I've been spending just as much time with my beads as I have been with my stamps lately, I thought that it was only fair that you got in on the action! So I'm offering up a Daisy Treat of a different kind!!! My May session summer class will be ending this Friday!!! Yippeeee!!! So I'm celebrating by giving away this bracelet that I made today! The colors of the beads are kinda' Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, and Bashful Blue.

To have a chance to win this little creation post a comment telling me about any other hobbies that you have besides paper crafting, if you just paper craft that's fine too! I'll post the winning comment this Saturday around noon! There's not much time... post now!!!

I like to read and I used to cross stitch but since I had my baby that is now one, I am kind of a one hobby gal. I mostly stamp when I have a chance.

This is a great bracelet. My friend is trying to get me to bead with her. I think I'd be hooked and then in trouble too!

Have a great day!

Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, I would LOVE a Jami original bracelet! :) I also love to crochet and use those Nifty Knitters. I haven't done much of that lately, but when I first started crocheting, EVERYBODY in my family had a new pair of slippers! Too funny!

I had to laugh at the comment from Kimmy! Cracking up! I too make jewelry...mom's bracelets, necklaces etc...I tried knitting but gave up on that pretty quickly! My kids and I do crafts too!

Great bracelet, love the green.

I love to cross-stitch, I'm actually working on a piece for my husband and he has no idea. My goal is to complete it and have it framed without him ever knowing. I have an angel piece to start for my mom. I think I'm going to go ahead and start that so I can work on it when my husband is around.

Thanks for sharing your other craft love.

I think my other hobby is work. I am there all the time. Love the colors of the bracelet. I am glad I didn't get into jewelry making I saw how expensive it was....lol

Beautiful bracelet! Makes me want to get my beading things out again and make something. That's one of my other hobbies - beading/jewelry making - but it has fallen by the wayside with all of the rubber stamps calling my name all the time!

I would have to say that my hobbies include stamping and sewing. I will be post shortly the newest creation I have made, but have to take a picture first!!! Good Job on the bracelet!! You are getting good!!!

Hey there! I sew from time to time and I have a small stash of beads. So far I've made one broach with my beads and I still need to mount it with a clasp. The lady who was teaching me how to bead left town two years ago so I'm left to figure it out by myself. I can do it. I know I can.

Smiles,
NG.

OMG I am so in love with this bracelet! If I win, I promise to wear it daily!!!

Besides papercrafting I also enjoy a little crochetting... I'm a beginner so I don't do much, but I do enjoy it when I do it.

The bracelet is fabulous. Love the colors.

Besides stamping, I also enjoy scrapbooking, paper embroidery and then of course I still have to have time to read.

Your bead work is beautiful. This bracelet reminds me of the sea glass we collect at the beach. I love to do all sorts of crafts besides stamping. I sew, quilt, paint, and last year I crocheted a ton of flip flops!

Oh, we have the beading thing in common too. My son's fiance is a beader and it looked like so much fun, before I knew it I had beads coming out my ears. LOL They DO jump into your basket. I think they're called jumping beads....oh, never mind that's jumping beans. Did you see this bead tutorial at Misti's site? I haven't tried it yet, but I will!!

I love your bracelet, wish I could figure out how to make them. I bought a book and all the supplies but can't fiqure out the crimping part yet. My crafting is limited to cards at the present time. In the past I have been into sewing, dough art, knitting, cake decorating and flower arranging.

Beautiful bracelet, Jami. My other hobby is sewing. I have made a Christmas tablecloth, Christmas napkins with bells attached (drove DH nuts), hanging quilts for my DDs with pictures from babyhood to adulthood, hanging quilt for my DD who completed chef school at LeCordon Bleu in London, England and a cloth scrapbook for my Mom because she couldn't hold a heavy album. Several more, but I can remember them!

Hi Jami! That bracelet is beautiful. I love making jewelry and do papercrafts and stamping, also. I am not really sure if there is a craft out there that I haven't tried...basket weaving, decorative painting, sewing, etc... My craft time is my sanity time.

Very pretty braclet. I have alot of hobbies. But the one I enjoy the most at this time of year is gardening. It is very relaxing. Now only if I could get the weather to cooperate.

How great! I love beads too. I tried selling bracelets on ebay once upon a time, but didn't have much luck, lol! I also enjoy sewing but mostly I make scrapbook pages! Thanks for the blog candy offer!

Reading is a favorite hobby/pasttime for me - wish I had more time to do it! I have a pile of books just calling out my name for some summer reading!

I also bead, and really enjoy it, along with that I read also. I truly enjoy reading and it has rubbed off on 2 of my 3 children so hubby can't really complain about the money I spend on books.........LOL I love your bracelet, you did a wonderful job!! Thanks for the chance to win it!

What a beautiful bracelet. I must admit that I've always been intrigued by beading but haven't taken the plunge. I find time (sometimes) to work on cross stitch, quilt, scrapbook, read and in the warm months lots and lots of gardening.

I can't believe that you just started beading - both of your bracelets are so pretty. How generous that you are offering the beach one as blog candy. I have been sewing a lot of scrubs lately for my job.

Jami-I love your new hobby, makes me want to visit Michael's and give it a try. Other than stamp/scrapbooking I do a bit of everything hence my nickname from Hubby of Craftywitch. I also Love to Cook! If I could just get someone to clean up after me I'd be set.

There is just not enough time in the day for hobbies! :) I really love to cook and try out new recipes....

What a beautiful creation...good for you! I wish I had another hobby...in fact, it seems like papercrafting was my first one! I am an active mom who surfs the blogs, works out and juggles the duties of work and home...I don't think I could throw in another hobby!

Love it!! I am with Kimberly...these are some of my favorite colors too!
I too do a little beading jewelery, crochet, knitting, cross stitch...hmmm...I guess that is it. But stamping has taken over most of my time.

I love jewelry making too!! My poor family is sad that my hobby isn't cooking or baking. Tsk tsk. (That's what I used to get my husband in the first place, 25 years ago. Once I got that ring on my finger, my mind suddenly went blank and I completely forgot how to cook. (yeah yeah, I know, I'm ashamed of myself...anyway...)
Here's a good website for jewelry: http://www.firemountaingems.com/

I LOVE the bracelet you made!!

Love the colours you choose for the bracelet. My other hobbies include gardening and reading. Let me tell you, it is hard to garden in May when there is STILL snow on the ground. Maybe it's true what they say about Canada, the 'great white north'.

Love the bracelet! I also do lots of gardening. We have two ponds in the backyard with several flower beds. I also like to applique sweatshirts. I like to try about anything :) Used to crochet and cross stitch.
