Another simple card...

Well, I hope everyone had a great Monday. Mine was the usual, worked at 6:30, class at 9:00, observation/practicum hours at 1:30, grocery store at 3:00, and then supper, dishes, laundry, etc! Sounds exciting, right? Anyways, now I'm happily settled into my office/stamp room for the night (although, I do have to go scrub a "soaker" dish later, and I probably should be doing homework!)

After "clicking" through some other fabulous blogs for inspiration, I got to work. I looked through my pp and decided to use this awesome one by My Mind's Eye. I absolutely love the color combination. I didn't want to take away from the paper, so I decided to keep it simple. This is also the first time that I have used pp as part of the layers behind the main image. I don't know why I never thought of this before. Anyways, I love the look and technique. I have to admit that I was hesitant about covering the pp with the other layers. I thought that it was such a shame to cover up such great paper. So, to make myself feel better I used a square punch and punched out the inside before I glued the other layers onto it! I'm not for sure what I'm going to do with the pp scraps, but I'm sure I'll think of something!

Well, I hope you enjoy the card and my ramblings! Just to let you know, I probably won't have time to post another card until Thursday. I have night class tomorrow night and on Wednesday evening I'm getting inducted into Phi Kappa Phi (sorry I forgot to tell you, Pam), and then after that I have to go to my other night class~yuck!!! Happy Stamping to You!
Supplies Used: pp My Mind's Eye - Magnolia, Serene "Dream" FLoral/Teal, SU's Chocolate Chip cardstock, ribbon, and In any event stamp set.
